The appellation includes the communes of Fuissé, Solutré (producing rich fruit) & Vergissonand Chaintré (expressing more minerality and finesse). Similar to the Côte de Beaune, the soils of Pouilly-Fuissé are mainly limestone and clay.
Opulent aromas of honeysuckle, spiced pears, and orange zest.
The flavours are very rich and full, but never feel heavy or sweet on the finish because of the abundant fresh rocky mineral energy that kicks in leading to a long zesty, spicy close!
Tasting notes:
With a well-defined nose, this wine is fine and delicate, with an elegant finish.
White and yellow fruit on the nose, with a subtle minerality.
Well-structured on the palate, fat, fleshy, taut and very persistent.
